Presented Above: “Are You A Twitter Snob?” as presented by Perry Belcher.

May I have the honor of presenting to you my piece entitled:

SIX THESES IN DEFENSE OF A COMPARATIVELY LOW FOLLOWER COUNT, Refuting The Spurious Theory Of Twitter Snobbery As Presented By Perry Belcher, A Self-Identified “Seriously Bad-Ass Marketer”

or:

At Least I’m Not A Shameless Webcock

  1. Twitter is not my “online presence.” Businesses might need an online presence. Individuals need an effective communication medium. Individuals who think they are businesses need both an effective communication medium and a dose of reality.

  2. Twitter is a flexible, multi-use platform. You sound like a dick for telling me that I’m using it wrong.

  3. Auto-follows mean nothing to me. If you’re following 5,000 people, my share of your attention is effectively zero. I think it’s telling that you advise people to have a separate Twitter if they want to actually read what people are saying.

  4. If you need my follow to validate your existence on Twitter, you have much bigger problems than your social media strategy.

  5. You cited Guy Kawasaki as a model Twitter user. Check your fly; your priorities are showing.

  6. I just blocked you.
